For Australian councils that require containment

An outdoor room for your cat.

A 1.8 m cube of open air: a knotted net on a steel frame that is zinc-coated on the inside too - where rust actually starts.

Do you actually have to contain your cat?

Most of Victoria says yes at night, a growing list says yes around the clock, and the ACT has required containment for every new cat since 2022. Enter your postcode and we will tell you what your council requires — no email needed.

We do not store this. Nothing is sent anywhere — the answer is already in this page.

What the factory put in writing

  • Steel tube, zinc-coated inside and out. The factory wrote that the coating on the inner wall "may be slightly thinner and less uniform" than outside, and we print that.
  • A net knotted at every crossing. A cut strand stays where it is instead of running, so one snag is not a hole.
  • A hammock and a roof cover, included. The cover gives shade and shelter from light to moderate rain. It is not UV-rated and not made for heavy rain, so we say so.

The enclosure is the room. The rest is up to you.

A cat tree, a tunnel, a bowl, your own chair (not included): there is 3.2 m² of floor and 1.8 m of height to furnish. One whole face unzips, so you go in with them.
